HUCHUY QOSQO TREK – 3 DAYS

The Huchuy Qosqo Trek is the perfect experience for travellers who wish to enjoy the essence of Andean trekking in a short time, while taking in unique landscapes and engaging directly with local culture.

Day 1:

Cusco – Tambomachay – Pucamarca

Early departure from Cusco to Tambomachay, where the hike begins. Walk through valleys and mountains offering breathtaking Andean views.

Pass ancient Inca structures and local communities before arriving at the first campsite in Pucamarca.

Hiking time: 6–7 hours

Includes: lunch and dinner

Accommodation: campsite in Pucamarca

Day 2:

Pucamarca – Huchuy Qosqo – Lamay – Ollantaytambo

After breakfast, descend to the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological site, an Inca gem perched above the Sacred Valley.

Enjoy a guided visit of its terraces, temples and dwellings before continuing to Lamay, where transport takes us to Ollantaytambo.

Hiking time: 5–6 hours

Includes: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Accommodation: tourist lodge in Ollantaytambo

Day 3:

Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Early train journey to Machu Picchu, where we enjoy a guided visit to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Return to Cusco by train and bus.

Hiking time: 2–3 hours (guided visit)
