Paracas – Ballestas Islands – Huacachina – Desert Oasis

Early departure to Paracas for a boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and a wide variety of seabirds.

After the tour, continue to Huacachina, a natural oasis surrounded by golden sand dunes.

Optional: buggy ride and sandboarding for an adrenaline-filled experience.

Humantay Lake – Natural Adventure

Early departure to Soraypampa, followed by a hike to Humantay Lake, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and breathtaking landscapes.

A day of moderate physical effort, spectacular scenery and a strong bond with the Andes.

Day 14:

Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca)

Sunrise at Rainbow Mountain, a natural spectacle of reddish, green and golden hues.

Hike surrounded by vicuñas, alpacas and majestic landscapes that inspire grandeur and emotion.

After the hike, return to the hotel in Cusco to rest after a day of incredible scenery.

Hiking time: 3–4 hours

Day 15:

Cusco – Cloud Forest – Bambu Lodge (Start of Manu Tour)

Very early departure towards the Amazon, travelling from the Andes down into the cloud forest. Stops at Ninamarca (pre-Inca cemetery) and Paucartambo, a town rich in living traditions.

In the cloud forest, walk along trails filled with ferns, orchids and bromeliads, observing colourful birds and, with some luck, the iconic Andean cock-of-the-rock during its courtship display.

In the afternoon, arrival at Bambu Lodge (700 m a.s.l.). Dinner and briefing about the next day’s activities.

Day 16:

Bambu Lodge – Tapir Clay Lick – Dorado Lodge

After breakfast, visit a hummingbird garden, a local community project where hummingbirds and orchids coexist.

Later, paddle across Machuwasi Lagoon on a rowing raft to observe wildlife in its natural environment.

In the afternoon, continue by 4x4 through jungle roads and local communities to Dorado Lodge (300 m a.s.l.).

At nightfall, take a nocturnal walk along trails and logs in search of night wildlife: frogs, tarantulas, insects and birds.

Day 17:

Dorado Lodge – Limonal – Cocha Brashco

Very early boat journey along the Alto Madre de Dios River, enjoying breakfast on board.

At the Limonal Ranger Station, receive a welcome and introduction to Manu National Park from the park rangers.

During river navigation and lake exploration, observe birds, monkeys, capybaras, tapirs and iconic reptiles such as black caimans and anacondas.

At Cocha Brashco, explore by catamaran to observe giant river otters (Pteronura brasiliensis) and the rich aquatic life of Manu.

Brief visit to the Diamante native community to support local initiatives.

Day 18:

Dorado Lodge – Macaw Clay Lick – Return to Cusco

Sunrise at the macaw and parrot clay lick, where birds gather to consume clay in a spectacular display of colour and sound.

Afterwards, begin the return journey: 4x4 to Salvación and then minivan to Cusco, travelling through towns and landscapes that reflect the transition from jungle to Andes.

Arrival in Cusco in the afternoon or evening.

Cusco – Free Day / Optional Activity
