INCA TRAIL 2 DAYS TO MACHU PICCHU

Day 1:

Cusco – Km 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu Pueblo

Early departure from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station, enjoying the scenic views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

At kilometre 104, we begin our hike along the Short Inca Trail, visiting the archaeological remains of Chachabamba (2,170 m) and Wiñay Wayna (2,650 m), an ancient site surrounded by lush vegetation and sacred terraces.

After a boxed lunch, we continue to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you will enjoy one of the most iconic views of Machu Picchu.

At the end of the day, we descend to Aguas Calientes, where your accommodation and a well-deserved dinner await.

Day 2:

Machu Picchu – Cusco

In the morning, we take an early bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel to enjoy it in the peaceful atmosphere of the early hours.

Our professional guide will lead a guided tour of approximately two hours, visiting the main areas of the archaeological site: temples, terraces, fountains and viewpoints.

Afterwards, you will have free time to continue exploring or, if you wish, to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (subject to availability).

At the end of the visit, we take the train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by the final transfer to Cusco.
